As a Senior Data Engineer at Aller Media, you will be a key addition to our data engineering team in Stockholm. You will work closely with fellow data engineers, data analysts, stakeholders, and colleagues across the Nordic countries to build robust, scalable, and efficient data solutions. You will contribute to our data architecture and modeling, ensuring we have a solid foundation for data-driven decision-making.
You will be working in a vibrant environment where your contributions will directly impact how we understand our readers and optimize our business. You will not only build pipelines but also provide technical leadership and guidance to the team.
Key responsibilities
Architect and Build: Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines and data architectures on our data platform on Google Cloud.
Data Modeling: Model data based on business requirements and ensure data quality, consistency, and accessibility for various use cases.
Technical Leadership: Mentor and guide other engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.
Collaboration: Work closely with the Analytics & BI team, other teams in Tech, as well as Commercial and Editorial stakeholders, to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
DevOps: Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and ensure best practices in software engineering are followed.
What you bring
We are looking for an experienced data engineer with a solid engineering background and 5+ years of relevant experience. You should have:
Deep Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Python and SQL.
Data Engineering Expertise: Extensive experience with ETL processes, data architecture, and data modeling, ideally with tools like BigQuery and dbt Cloud.
Cloud Experience: Solid experience with cloud platforms, specifically GCP and services like Cloud Run
Bonus: Proficiency with CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code, including Terraform.
